To access the OpenLDAP server from Outlook follow the following steps.

1. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
2. Click on Add and select Directory Service.
3. Supply the domain name where your LDAP server is located. The LDAP server does not require a logon.
4. Select whether or not you wish to check addresses using this service.
5. Click through to finish.

The set up is still not complete. You still need to add a search base.

1. From the Tools menu, select accounts.
2. Select the Directory Services tab.
3. Highlight your OpenLDAP account and select Properties.
4. Select the Advanced tab.
5. Set search base to your base directory. ie "dc=example, dc=com"
